_UJS Hillel

UJS Hillel came into existence in 2000.  Its formation was as a result of a communal review of student provision within the UK.  The B'nai B'rith Hillel Foundation was established in 1953 to meet the demands of a growing Jewish student population.
In 1973 UJS was founded as the successor organisation to the peer-led student organisation IUJF (Inter-University Jewish Federation).  Both these organisations came together with other organisations supporting Jewish students including the                                   UJIA and CST.
