Bringing the web to your mobile phone
Mobile web surfing is growing rapidly and the market gets more lucrative with new mobile advertising services, enhanced hardware and better mobile web browsers appearing each day.
More than 70 percent of all phones now come with a web browser, and they are in the hands of 1.8 billion people worldwide. So it's a massive market.
So what are people's favourite mobile web activities?
Current surveys show that they are buying theatre tickets, checking the news or flight times or browsing online encyclopaedias.
With laptops being so popular, there's a tendency for websites to be designed in a more 'landscape' format with horizontal navigations too.
This is the opposite of what you need to view a website on a mobile phone, where you need a vertical format.
As a result of this, we have developed a service called Web2Mobi. This enables your site to be replicated on a special mobile domain (.mobi) and be viewable on a mobile device.
Please visit our special web2mobi website for a live demo and more information. You'll see an interesting case study there about the site we did for Candover.
