Oak Hill College

Web solution to rebrand Oak Hill, a theological college based in North London.

Oak Hill: facilitating a user friendly online experience

Oak Hill College provides theological training to men and women for ministry in Anglican and Independent churches, including pastoral ministry, work with children and young people, and cross-cultural ministry in Britain and around the world. They approached Red C to build a welcoming website that would introduce who they are and give prospective students an insight into life at Oak Hill.

PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS

Oak Hill College reached out to Red C with an existing website that was outdated, unstructured and not mobile optimised. Oak Hill needed a new website with a complete redesign of the interface and user journeys.

Red C designed a new website with a range of users and audiences in mind, from college stakeholders to prospective students. We created different user journeys that allowed each user to access the information they needed easily and efficiently.

PROCESS AND FEATURES

BRAND GUIDELINES

Red C worked closely within Oak Hill’s new brand guidelines to design an engaging interface that would be easy for all website visitors to use.

USER JOURNEY

Using information provided by the client, we started by creating a comprehensive sitemap, to inform low fidelity wireframes. We did this by mapping out essential journeys for key user groups, considering their individual needs and the focus behind their visit to the site.

This allowed us to create a structure that was fit for purpose for a variety of users, ranging from prospective students to stakeholders in the college.

We separated the syllabus course details into collapsible elements, allowing the information to be displayed and absorbed effectively.

"The support that Red C have provided at an operational level, both at the stage of building the website and since going live, has been very helpful and responsive."
