With the ambitious goal of enhancing water conservation among its 3.5 million customers, Affinity Water turned to Red C to develop a mobile app designed to streamline their Home Water Savings Checks process. This app marks a pivotal step towards meeting government-led water saving initiatives, combining technological innovation with environmental stewardship.

The challenge

Faced with the dual challenge of conducting efficient home water saving checks across thousands of properties daily and the need to meet stringent water-saving targets, Affinity Water needed a solution that could revolutionise their operational efficiency. The existing manual processes were time-consuming and lacked the scalability required to achieve their ambitious conservation goals.

The solution

Red C crafted a two-pronged digital solution to address these challenges:

  • Web-based Administration Portal: A sophisticated scheduling system for installer appointments, enhancing the coordination of Affinity Water’s workforce and optimising the booking process.
  • iPad App for Field Staff: Enabling on-site staff to book appointments, conduct water saving assessments, and instantly calculate and report the water savings achieved. This app synchronises data with a central database, providing real-time insights and performance metrics.
